Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the PrepArena application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 15 years old to create an account and use PrepArena. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

3. Account

• You register using your phone number via OTP verification
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One account per person — creating multiple accounts to manipulate rankings or exploit free tiers is prohibited
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@preparena.in

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• PrepArena offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription
• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly (₹249/month), semi-annually (₹899) or annually (₹1499/year) - prices subject to change (see in-app section for latest pricing)
• Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings
• Prices may change with reasonable notice; existing subscribers will be notified before their next renewal

5. Fair Play Policy

PrepArena is a competitive learning platform. To keep it fair for everyone:

• No cheating — Using external tools, bots, scripts, or any automated means to answer questions is prohibited
• No account sharing — Your account and PAR rating are personal to you
• No rating manipulation — Intentionally losing games, colluding with opponents, or creating fake accounts to boost your rating is prohibited
• No abuse — Harassment, offensive display names, or inappropriate content will result in immediate suspension

Violations may result in PAR rating reset, temporary suspension, or permanent ban at our discretion.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

• All questions, game mechanics, UI, and content in PrepArena are owned by us or licensed to us
• Questions are AI-generated from NCERT textbooks and reviewed for accuracy
• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content
• Your game data (scores, ratings, badges) is associated with your account and displayed on leaderboards

7. Disclaimers

• PrepArena is a supplementary practice tool, not a replacement for coaching, textbooks, or classroom instruction
• We do not guarantee any specific exam results, scores, or ranks from using the App
• While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated questions may occasionally contain errors — use the "Flag Question" feature to report them
• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrepArena shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, exam results, or interruption of service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in unfair play, or abuse the platform. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the timeline in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
